Around 4,500 students study in the fields of economics, social sciences and healthcare at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society. With over 40 degree programs, which are offered full-time, part-time, dual or distance learning, you have a wide range of options for obtaining your Bachelor's or Master's degree.

The HWG-LU was created in 2008 from the merger of the state University of Applied Sciences for Business and the Protestant University of Applied Sciences for Social Work. The main location of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society is the Campus an der Blies in Ernst-Boehe-Straße in the Ludwigshafen district of Mundenheim. There are also several secondary locations in nearby Turmstraße, in the city center (Department of Social and Health Care in Maxstraße) and on the Rhine promenade(East Asia Institute). With the planned new building, the "branch offices" are to be brought together on the central campus site. The Weincampus in Neustadt, a cooperation project between the HWG-LU, the universities of Bingen and Kaiserslautern and the Dienstleistungszentrum Ländlicher Raum Rheinpfalz, enjoys a special position.

Whether it's the University Information Day (HIT), taster and focus lectures, Studium Generale or special offers for children and senior citizens - in addition to the regular lecture program, the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society hosts all kinds of public events where prospective students and interested students are welcome guests. As befits a university, we naturally also have a canteen, which is run by the Studierendenwerk Vorderpfalz. From Mondays to Fridays, there are two lunch menus to choose from. Price per meal for students: 3.50 euros. You can take a look at the menu here. In addition to inexpensive lunchtime menus, you can also get coffee, soft drinks and snacks here. A branch of the Mensa, the Mensaria, is located in the accommodation in Department IV at Maxstraße 29, other cafeterias can be found in Turmstraße and in the E building in Ernst-Boehe-Straße.

For a price of 180 euros (as of January 2023) and for a period of 6 months, students at Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society can purchase a semester ticket that is valid for the entire VRN area (except West Palatinate). Further information

The General Student Committee (AStA) of HWG-LU, which represents the interests of the student body, ensures that new students quickly settle in at the university and in Ludwigshafen. In addition to joint trips and campus events such as the summer party or Christmas market, the AStA also regularly organizes Get2Gether and fresher parties.
